I got a really nice thick piece of leather and it carved like butter! So I looked for a very good subject and found this photo to work from. Unfortunately the detail was not too good and I had great difficulty with the hands. Next time I will take more care to choose my subjects.
The male human body with its angles surfaces and structure is an ideal subject for leather carving.
